The Philadelphia-based provider of business process outsourcing, which branche out Jan. 1 by acquiring an active pharmaceuticall ingredient plant fromMerck & Co., said Harols Epps had been appointed It is a new position in the company, a spokeswomanb said. Epps was formerly vice presidentf of supply chain for plastics manufacturer Quadranty Engineering PlasticsProducts Inc. of Reading, Pa. John Ellioy has been made president of the part of PRWT that includesz the former Merck facility incentral Pennsylvania. Ellioft spent 25 years with GlaxoSmithKline inpharmaceutical manufacturing, PRWT said.
PRWT says it is the first minority business enterprise in the United States to owna pharmaceutical-makingg facility. It said Monday it will invest $15 milliomn in the Riverside, Pa., site, which has an agreement to supply Merck for five years that is wortnhbetween $100 million and $200 million a The plant makes ingredients for antibiotics for humans and animalsd and has 400 according to PRWT, which has not disclosed the purchasr price.
PRWT also said Monday it "plans to invest in and grow itscore PRWT's core operations includde providing customer service for parking violations in Los Angeles and Philadelphiz and for E-ZPass in the Delawaree River Port Authority's jurisdiction.
