The Kerns' $10 million donation, the largest single private gift in theWauwatosa school’w history, will be used to develop a biomedical researcgh center and allow the Medical College to recruit leading scientists for the The medical college also will work with and the for collaborativ e research and a comprehensiver biomedical educational program. A mass spectrometry housed inthe College’s Translational and Biomedica l Research Center, will be established to units campus mass spectrometry technologies and resources for participating researchers.

Underwood is chairman and CEO of Young’s Market Co., Orange County, Calif.

” Ludwig joined the Medicalk College faculty last year as associate professor and chief of colorectap surgery and associate professor of medicin in the division of gastroenterology and He is based at . Ludwig previously servee as chief of gastrointestinal surgery at Duke UniversitgMedical Center.
