Price Chopper has teamedd up with more than 70 stations to offer Fuel a program that has been available for more than two yearz in other areas serviced by thegrocert chain. Consumers can save 10 centss per gallon at participating Sunocio stations forevery $50 of qualified groceries they The points/dollars can be accumulated over a 90-day period and spent on up to 20 gallonds of gas. Sunoco customers in other areasa have saved upwards of 50 cent to60 cents, and even $1 or more per through the program, according to Jeff channel marketing manager for the gas stations.
The number of participatinf stationswill grow, said Neil Golub, presideny and CEO of Price Chopper. Customers must use theire Price Chopper AdvantEdge card to qualify forthe savings. The supermarke automatically tracks the purchases that can be appliee toward the fuelsavingss program. Certain restrictions apply. For instance, purchase of alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery tickets, video rentals and some othereitems don’t count toward the $50 total.
